March is Women’s history month. What better way to end this celebratory month honoring women, than by spotlighting Kathy Archer a professional development coach who mentors women leaders to become the best they were meant to be?

Think about it. As a leader, have you felt alone, incompetent, and overwhelmed?

Perhaps you are there now!

Kathy Archer, a professional development coach, knows what it feels like to lack the confidence to not feel like a successful leader. With a Human Services Degree and Professional Certified Coach credential, Kathy brings over twelve years of experience in coaching leaders. She has worked in the social profit sector for 25 years.

In addition to her 1-1 coaching practice, she has an online membership site, The Training Library, where she coaches and mentors women leaders. . Kathy is also a regular podcaster, blogger, and the author of Mastering Confidence: “Discover your leadership potential by awakening your inner guidance system.”

As a professional development coach, Kathy understands firsthand nonprofits’ constant crisis, a shortage of resources, and a lack of mentors.

You've likely wondered if there is easily accessible training, coaching, and support to help you become a competent and confident leader. Kathy gets it!

Kathy was in your shoes and found a different way! She simply wanted to feel competent, confident, and content as a leader and in her life!

As a young leader, who'd moved up from the frontline into a leadership position, she could have done better. She struggled to raise her kids, hold her marriage together, and finish her degree all while running programs and managing staff over a large geographical area.

On any given day, she would hop in my car, travel 300+ km to visit two or more sites, handles countless phone calls, and then respond to endless emails.

Then she would rush home to throw french fries and chicken fingers in the oven to get her kids out the door in time for Taekwondo practice. She was frustrated and falling apart at the seams.🙁

As an overachiever with high expectations, she felt like a failure.

When she wasn't, she would beat herself up, assume she wasn't leadership material and pray no one would figure that out! She knew what she was experiencing was not what she wanted. However, she also knew the programs she was managing had a limited staff development budget. During this time she was aware that her boss was primarily concerned with organizational growth, not her growth.

Now, as a professional development coach, Kathy brings not both her professional and personal experience to help people become the leader SHE knows they are meant to be.

As a coach, she believes that every leader should get to go to work at a job where they feel valued and respected, where they get to use their gifts, talents, and strengths, and where they get to come home at the end of the day and still have energy left for the rest of their lives.

Her job as your coach is to help you create that in your world and help you create that for those you supervise, manage, direct, and care for.

Kathy draws from coaching models and uses the Leadership Circle Profile concepts. She loves to use the strengths-based based philosophies from Gallup Strengths and the VIA Character Organization while drawing from modern science, spirituality, ancient wisdom, and anything else she is currently reading and researching.
